Ron was born and raised in Smithers. Ron and his four daughters and his partner, Sarah, enjoy life in the Bulkley Valley with its many outdoor recreational opportunities. The latest addition to the family, Ellie, came into the world smiling September 9th, 2011…Ron plans to retire in 40 years! Ron’s oldest daughter, Laura, is in her 3rd year at
U-Vic, Nikki is in her 1st year at UNBC starting Fall 2011, and Gracie (April 2010) is enjoying the role of "big sister" with the newest member of the Lapadat family, Ellie !
Downhill skiing on Hudson Bay Mountain, cross country skiing, and curling are Ron's favourite winter activities. In summer Ron likes hiking, fishing and the occasional round of golf. Recently Ron and his family moved to a little hobby farm in the country where they enjoy their horses, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, 2 cats and their dog.
